mimano: for baby with a story to tell
At the heart of mimano, there's a special story that weaves together my love for family, music, and taking care of the little ones. The name mimano is a sweet mix of my children's names mi for Mila, ma for Mateo, and no for Noah. As a gentle coincidence, mimano in Spanish also means my hand.
The watercolor patterns are drawn by me, and the designs are inspired by songs and memories that hold a special place in my heart.
mimano is all about making beautiful and useful products, made from breathable materials. From car seat canopies to blankets, bibs, and mosquito nets for the stroller, each item is a piece of art. They're made with love to keep your little ones safe, snug, and cuddled with love.
Chasing Dreams Collection

My husband dedicated the song Chasing Cars, by Snow Patrol, in our early, carefree days together, before our lives became beautifully full with laughter and energy of our children. We moved at a slower pace and had so many moments of ‘being’ with each other.
When I listen that song today, I’m transported back to those moments, and reminded of the love I felt for my husband, the love that still connects us today. My Chasing Dreams pattern is for him. It includes his passion for skiing, and when he used to pick me up from my workplace on his Vespa to ride back home together.
Inspired by these memories, I created a pattern for our baby blankets that blends these elements—a little car, ski slopes, mountains, ski goggles, and of course, a Vespa.
This pattern is more than shapes and lines; it’s a piece of our story, and the dreams we’ve chased. Now, as our little ones snuggle in these blankets, they’re wrapped not just in warmth, but in our love.

Amapola by Juan Luis Guerra has always been a special song for me. Growing up, my dad was a quiet, strong presence, but when he played his guitar, he showed a softer, sweeter side. I loved music too, but I never had the courage to sing in front of him—it always felt a bit overwhelming.
Years later, after having three kids, my dad came to visit our family in Dubai. I bought a guitar for him, hoping he might play for us. One evening, surrounded by laughter and family, we ended up singing Amapola together. He had brought the lyrics with him, almost as if he knew we’d share this moment.
After he left, I found the lyrics along with a note that said, "Elsita, lo siento por Juan Luis Guerra pero nada es para siempre," which means, "I'm sorry for Juan Luis Guerra, but nothing is forever." My dad is a man of few words, but his writing has always been enchanting. After reading his note, I felt that the song was mine. This moment inspired one of the patterns for mimano, a reminder that love, like music, is passed down through generations.
